Increase in Fees from 1 July 2016
Friday, 1 July 2016
The CBD Program charges a fee for processing applications associated with CBD Assessor accreditation and re-accreditation, and for exemption from disclosure obligations under sections 17 and 24 of the Building Energy Efficiency Disclosure (BEED) Act 2010. These fees are applied in accordance with the BEED legislation and are adjusted annually for any increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) as calculated by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). Fees for 2016/17 will increase by $5 to $394 per application and will apply to all applications received from 1 July 2016. All complete and valid applications received by the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science before 1 July 2016 will be charged the current fee, even if the application is not processed until the new financial year.
Further information on how the fees for the CBD Program are set and adjusted is available in the Building Energy Efficiency Disclosure Regulations 2010 and additional information on the changes in CPI are available from the ABS website.
