CBD Tenancy Lighting Assessments
The CBD Tenancy Lighting Assessment for Offices Rules are part of the set of documents
that govern how Tenancy Lighting Assessments are to be carried out and audited.
The Rules are the legislated assessment methods and standards for carrying out an
assessment of the energy efficiency of the lighting of an office space for the purposes
of obtaining a Building Energy Efficiency Certificate (BEEC). The Rules described
in the document should only be applied by people who are CBD Accredited Assessors.
For information on how to become a CBD Accredited Assessor, go to
Becoming an Assessor.
The CBD Lighting Assessment Form is the software tool used by CBD Accredited Assessors
for entering assessment data and performing some processing and analysis to provide
a summary of the lighting efficiency for the assessed spaces. The Form is submitted
to the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency when the assessor has
completed the Tenancy Lighting Assessment. For further information on completing
the assessment form please refer to the
guidance note.
The guidance note provides advice on how CBD Accredited Assessors should use the
CBD Lighting Assessment Form to collate data, perform calculations and provide outputs.
The Guide to Tenancy Lighting Assessments has been prepared to assist the non-technical
reader to understand the Tenancy Lighting Assessment.
